Q. Do you feel relationships within games are meaningful? (Answer!)
A. Depends how you define relationships and meaningful too I guess… some of the people I know through gaming I would now consider to be very good friends. But it has become a friendship outside of gaming and I am not sure I would think of it in the same way if it had not been taken outside of the games arena. That said I feel close to other people I play with who I have not met outside (yet). I don’t think kids in local spamming looking for g/f or b/f will ever provide a meaningful relationship, but if it makes them happy (even though it is a little sad) I don't see why they shouldn't have something. And a good RL friend of mine has just got engaged to someone she met IG, so I think I would have to say yes overall.
Q. In real life, are you male or female? (Answer!)
A. Yes, and I have a microphone
Q. Have you ever had a memorable real-life meeting with other gamers? (Answer!)
A. Memorable is probably not the best way to describe them, usually the amount of alcohol consumed makes them more of a hazy blur than anything!
Q. What are your thoughts on roleplaying in games? (Answer!)
A. I'm not really into it, I like to be myself. I think that is more interesting and fun to get to know real people than pretending to be someone else.
Q. What sort of tools (calculators, builders, spreadsheets, etc.) do you use to plan your characters? (Answer!)
A. I had a massive spreadsheet when I was going for the GW Skill Hunter Title as it was hard to keep track of which ones I had got without going through the list every time. Now I just have one for finances, which is never as up-to-date as it sould be.
Q. What is your first computer or video gaming memory? (Answer!)
A. Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy on the 128k Sinclair ZX Spectrum. I can still hear the noise of it loading from the tape in my head now if I concentrate hard enough.
Q. What are your favorite tabletop (RPG, board, miniatures, etc.) games? (Answer!)
Q. How many hours a week do you play? (Answer!)
Q. How do you feel about playing characters of the opposite sex? (Answer!)
A. Personally I don’t do it, but I’m not bothered if other people do. I'm not into RP so it is all about what your character looks like and not who you are I think.
Q. If you made your own game, what would it be like? (Answer!)
A. Rubbish probably, or so like something else I have played I would end up being sued to hell and back!
Q. What are your thoughts on player-made mods/addons for games? (Answer!)
A. It depends what they do, I guess. It is makes the game more fun to play then I don’t see the harm (as long as they are secure and don't store / sell your details and all the jazz), but things like farming bots which can destroy a games economy for those that don’t have them are unfair. That said, I wish I knew enough to write one.
Q. What sort of players annoy you the most? (Answer!)
A. I hate most people. I think that just about covers it.
Q. How do you feel about selling virtual items for real money? (Do NOT advertise RMT services!) (Answer!)
A. It depends… I have mixed opinions on the matter

I would happily pay a cleaner to clean my flat because I can’t be bothered to do it, what is the difference if I was to pay another player who was a good farmer to get me that item I really wanted it, if it saves me the time and effort I don’t wish to make? But this is not generally how it works and this kind of sale is usually from BOTs which do serious damage to the IG economy and make it harder for player who plays properly to afford things.

However, I don’t think I would ever want anything enough to actually pay for it in real money, I find it hard enough to justify buying things with IG money. I have never bought anything I wanted, I have come by stuff in trades or farmed it myself.

Therefore, I agree in principle that it is ok, but I think it practice it isn’t.
A. Cartography Mod only atm, until I find another title to work to that needs one...
